Bio

Garrett Kitchenmaster is a multi-media artist with a focus in 3D animation, and modeling. When Garrett was young he dabbled in 2D animation using post-it notes as flip-books. Once Garrett entered 8th grade he began studying three-dimensional software using Google Sketchup. From there he began creating scenes accompanied by an animated camera. These scenes ended up becoming his class presentations for various reports.

In the year of 2011, Garrett enrolled in Santa Susana High School. His focus was on completing three years worth of animation courses that his high school had offered. Upon completing the first animation class in 2012, the entire animation course was shut down and no longer offered the program. Garrett continued to teach himself animation and moved onto learning Blender. In 2013, Garrett began working on creating a 3D animation for his senior project that would be assigned in 2014. In 2015, he successfully finished and became the only senior to create an animation. Garrett then graduated with High Honors in Graphic Design and High Honors in Animation.

In 2015 Garrett enrolled in a Multi-media program at the Simi Institute for Careers & Education, where he learned to work in 3DS Max. Garrett ended up completing the year class early, within one semester and received a letter of recognition.

In 2016 Garrett entered Moorpark Community College where he graduated three years later with a Transfer Degree in Fine Arts. In 2019 Garrett transferred to the California State University of Northridge where he continued to study animation.

While at CSUN, Garrett received the Neustadt/Bereny New Vista Scholarship in May of 2020. Later on, Garrett graduated from CSUN in December 2021 where he received a Bachelors of Art Concentration in Animation.
